FireDrake Mobile Monitor™ – The Terminator for Firefighting

Designed by FireDrake Industries and manufactured in the U.S.A., the Mobile Monitor is the epitome of the future of firefighting. Weighing in at 570lbs, the remote-controlled fire suppression vehicle can operate for up to three days straight on a single charge.

This firefighting war machine can be recharged from zero to full capacity in only eight mobile_monitorhours using a standard household outlet, yet is capable of climbing stairs, maneuvering through narrow structures, and traversing steep terrains – all while pulling and operating hundreds of feet of a charged hose. Of course, that’s not all.

The Mobile Monitor is capable of delivering suppressant at a rate of up to 1000GPM depending on what type of fire-retardant the job calls for. This also means that the vehicle is equipped to utilize a wide range of suppressant including water, Thermo-Gel, Thermo-Foam, or any other special aqueous film-forming foams for petroleum firefighting.

Providing firefighters with an added 1000 feet of safety zone, the Mobile Monitor is a technological landmine consisting of features not limited to: chemical sensing, video FireDrake Mobile Monitorrecording, thermal imaging, spot-lighting, scissor-lift lighting, and my personal favorite – a self-protection water curtain feature for “protecting the Monitor itself, or saving a life once a downed firefighter is located.” As if it wasn’t impressive enough.

We should all remember, that although the Mobile Monitor is indeed another great addition to the life-saving tools used by firefighters, it is just that – a tool. Little Lake Fire District Chief Shane Burke reminds us that the technology does not take the place of firefighters, as the great firefighters of this nation are irreplaceable. But it does give merit to the life-saving capabilities of the Mobile Monitor in that now instead of losing a partner we have the option to simply replace the equipment.
